Softaculous is an automated installer for scripts and applications, such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and Magento. You can install hundreds of applications without requiring any technical knowledge. You can automatically update them and take backups. It can store backups locally or automatically upload them to your remote storage. It supports cloning, staging, and remote import (migration) from external servers.

WordPress Manager

Manage all your WordPress websites in one place. One click install, update, harden security, backup, clone, and stage WordPress using the feature rich WordPress Manager. You can install/update plugins and themes, modify WordPress settings, add users, change admin password, change website URL, push to live staged websites, and more with just a mouse click.

Automatic Updates

Outdated scripts and plugins pose a major security risk. Stay up to date and keep your websites secure by automatically updating your applications when new versions are released. You can choose whether to auto update WordPress core files to minor or major versions. You can also auto update WordPress plugins and themes.

Automatic Backups

Safeguard your websites in the event of catastrophic failures using automatic backups at regular intervals. You can configure daily, weekly, and monthly backups and have them automatically uploaded to Google Drive, Dropbox, and FTP/FTPS/SFTP storage servers. If something breaks, you can one click restore your website from backups. You can also restore them on different servers.

Clone or Stage Websites

One click clone or stage a website to test upgrades or changes before applying them to the main website. You can create a new website by cloning an existing one. Cloning is faster and does not slow down the main website. On the other hand, changes made to a staged site can be pushed to the main website with just a mouse click using the Push to Live feature. You can use a separate directory for cloned/staged websites that is above the main website's root directory to avoid conflict.

WordPress Security Hardening

Apply robust security measures to harden your WordPress websites without using any additional plugins. WordPress, being one of the most popular web applications, is frequently targeted by hackers. These security measures keep your website secure from many attacks. You can choose which measures to apply and quickly revert them at any time should you need to.

Remote Import

Migrate your websites from external servers using remote import. It allows you to import your existing websites (built using WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, or other supported scripts) installed on remote servers to Softaculous on your server using an easy to use wizard. It supports FTP, FTPS, and SFTP file transfer protocols.

Bulk Discover

Softaculous can import any script it maintains, even if it was not installed by Softaculous. Bulk discover and import installations done manually or via other auto installers, such as Fantastico and WP Toolkit, with just one click from the admin/enduser panel. Once imported, Softaculous can maintain the scripts for future updates.
