How do I transfer my websites?

MechanicWeb offers free migration service to transfer all your website files, scripts, databases, and emails from cPanel and DirectAdmin based servers to your new hosting account with us.

What is reseller hosting?

Reseller Hosting is a hosting service that allows you to create multiple hosting accounts. These hosting accounts are often called sub accounts.

If you have multiple websites, you can separate them by hosting them on separate accounts. This is better for security and performance. If one website gets compromised, websites on other hosting accounts will remain unaffected.

Each hosting account has its own username and password. If you want to sell hosting, you can provide your customers with access to their hosting control panels. You can also brand the reseller panel with your information.

How do I manage the sub accounts?

You can manage all sub accounts (hosting accounts) and auto-login to each account (without knowing the password) from your reseller panel.

Can I create hosting packages and choose the limits and specs of my sub accounts?

Yes. You can create hosting packages with custom limits and assign them to your sub accounts. You decide everything about the packages you make: what is included, their names, and the resources they offer.

Do I need to manage the server?

You do not need to manage the server. Our dedicated team of cPanel certified system administrators will expertly manage the server 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, even during holidays.

What is the advantage of Reseller Hosting?

The main advantage is that you can create multiple hosting accounts. This, in turn, creates other advantages:

Reseller Hosting allows separating websites into different hosting accounts. You can host one or more sites on their own accounts. If one website gets compromised, the impact will remain isolated to that account, and websites on other accounts will remain unaffected.

What is the advantage of Reseller XL over Semi Dedicated Hosting?

What do I need for my websites - Reseller XL or Semi Dedicated Hosting?

If you have a high-traffic or resource-hungry website, Semi Dedicated is the way to go. If you have multiple websites and/or need to provide your customers with access to the hosting control panel, Reseller XL is a better option.

How much resource (CPU, RAM, etc.) is allocated to Reseller Hosting?

Resource allocation varies by package, as described in the package description. Please refer to this article for details on resource allocation.

What happens if I consume all disk space or sub accounts?

You won't be able to create new hosting accounts once you reach your full allocation of disk space, bandwidth, or sub accounts. This is a safe way to ensure everyone gets the resources they have paid for and is not charged for overuse of disk space or bandwidth. It is easy to order additional resources or upgrade to a larger package from your client area.

What happens if I need more server resources?

You can always upgrade to a larger package if you need more resources. In many cases, resource consumption can be reduced with a few tweaks without upgrading. You can use LiteSpeed Cache alongside a CDN to significantly reduce resource consumption.

How do I upgrade my package?

You can upgrade to a larger package from your Client Area by paying the price difference. Upgrading is automated, seamless, and does not involve any downtime or interruption.

Is there a minimum contract term?

Our subscriptions start from the monthly term. There is no minimum contract term.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, and all major credit/debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, and Mada. A few local payment methods are available in a few countries.

How safe is my data with you? What will happen if my data is lost due to a server or hardware failure?

Data safety is of the highest priority to us. Backups are taken daily and stored on offsite servers located in geographically different data centers. It keeps your data safe in the event of a server issue or a hardware failure.

Do you provide daily offsite backup?

Yes, daily offsite backup is included for free with all packages. All hosting accounts are automatically backed up daily to an offsite server located in a geographically different data center. Up to 30 backups, one for each day of a month, are kept for up to 30 days.

Do you provide SSL certificates?

Yes, we provide SSL certificates for free. You can install an unlimited number of SSL certificates on all your domains with just a mouse click. Once installed, they will be renewed automatically without any intervention from you.

Do you provide round the clock, 24/7 support?

Yes, we do. We are available 24/7, round the clock, even during the holidays and festive seasons.

How do I provide support to my customers?

When your customers need help with hosting or are experiencing an issue, you can open a ticket with us for a solution and forward the solution to your customers.

Do you provide guaranteed uptime?

Yes, we provide a 99.9% uptime guarantee. We have a proven history of maintaining more than 99.9% uptime on all of our servers. If we fail to uphold our commitment, we will compensate you as per our uptime guarantee.

Do you provide a money back guarantee?

Yes, we offer a 45 day money back guarantee.

Do you provide root access?

No, Reseller Hosting does not come with root access. Please have a look at our VPS Hosting and Dedicated Server packages if you need root access.

Do you provide SSH access?

Yes, we provide jailed SSH access. Please open a support ticket to obtain your SSH access.

What is jailed SSH access?

Jailed SSH access is a secure SSH access where a user can only access their files; they cannot access other users' files.

Do you allow adult or warez websites?

We do not allow our resellers to host websites containing adult material or any content that violates copyright law. Legal adult content may be permitted on custom dedicated servers upon prior approval.

Can I have a trial of a reseller hosting account?
